Shop Around Wheel

I was placing an order and asked my 8 year old daughter if she had any suggestions of what I should order.  She grabbed the catalog out of my hand and knew exactly what she was looking for.  She had looked through the catalog when it had first arrived and pointed out the Shop Around wheel.  It really isn't my style, but sometimes it is good for me to step out of my regular style.

Today was the first chance I have had to play with this wheel, and it is growing on me.  It makes a great background!

Zoo Review Birthday

I needed a quick and easy birthday card to send out to special little girl earlier this week for her birthday.  I was drawn to the Zoo Review Set, and was working on this card, and after a bit of watercolor on the animals it just needed a little something more, so I used some ink and sponges to add some color to the background.  This helped to make the card look more complete, give ink and sponges a try the next you are "stuck" and need to add something to finish up a card.
