Just for a teacher

A great teacher deserves a thank you every once an awhile. The Making a Point set has a fun pencil stamp that looks so realistic.  I wanted to try and get the colors as close to a real pencil as possible.  I had to ask my girls what color was right for the eraser, and I would not have thought Strawberry Slush was it, but it does look great.

The Occasions Catalog has a great set called Making a Point that is only available to Hostesses.  It is a great girly set with some really cute sayings, and fabulous images, I just couldn't resist stamping these images with silver on black to get the most dramatic effect!  

Life in the Forest Raccoon

Today I needed to come up with a masculine card, which for some reason always seems to be a challenge.  I wanted to use the new wood grain background stamp.  The Life in the Forest set was a perfect match to creating the perfect birthday card for a special little boy!  I also love using the new background stamp with the woodgrain embossing folder.

GOLD!

For those of you that know me, I do not like gold, everything is SILVER for me!  But in the spirit of stepping out of my comfort zone, I really like how this turned out.  The washi tape is only available in gold, and I love the foil paper, so decided that I would give it a try.  I added the tape to the cardstock and then embossed with the folder, and it is so neat that you can see the embossing on the tape.  I really do wish they would offer the washi tape in SILVER!

Banner Blast

It has been a bit since I have posted, life has just been busy!  I wanted to share a few Sale-A Bration items that are a lot of fun and create some great looking cards.  The top banner was embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  The Banner Blast stamp set was used to create the little flags, and was punched out using the banner punch.  The little banners are great as the focal point or as a background.
