Foil and Glitter Paper

Enjoy bling as much as anyone, but sometimes it can be so messy.  The Glitter Paper and Foil Sheets offer a chance to add some bling with less mess.  I was also so excited to see another color of Glitter Paper that coordinates with our Stampin' Up! Colors, watch for it soon.

Cardinal Christmas

The Woodlands folder is going to around for awhile.  Stampin' Up! announced that due to the popularity of the folder, it will be appearing in next years catalog.  So no worries if you have not ordered it yet (like me).  It has so many possibilities to create some fun backgrounds. On this card, I just swiped the white ink pad over the top to catch ink on the tree trunks.

Snowman

Well, we have not had a chance to make snowmen outside around here yet this year, but here are a few I made on some Christmas cards.  I think the bow tie looks great on the top of the little snowman.

Golfing

A lot of golfing lately.  My daughter is on the High School golf team, and everynight for many weeks has been at the course.  They just finished up some fundraising, and I was working on getting her Thank You cards stamped today.  When walking along last week at her conference meet, a lot of time was spent looking at the trees, she only hit a few, so thought this card would work!

School is back in full swing, so I had a few more moments to think today, so here are a few more creations from the Hearth and Home Edgelits.  So many possibilities...

Thinking Ahead to Halloween

Halloween is a favorite holiday at our house, and now is the time to start planning.  I know my girls have been talking costumes for some time now, and it will be here soon.  The Haunt You Later stamp set has the cutest Halloween friends, and the Spider Web Doilies will be the perfect addition to any Halloween project.  Did you notice the corners? The Curvy Corner Trio Punch is a must have from the Holiday Catalog, with 3 different corner punches, there are many options.

Look out the WINDOW

Sheltering Tree

I think this has to be my favorite new set and the possibilities are endless.  I love the stamp in the set that looks like a "swoosh", on this card I used the same stamp to create the sky and ground, and stamped off once to create a very soft look.  And the bike, a two step stamp, so you can create your bike in any color.

Time to Celebrate with a bit of me time

Well, today was the day, the big "40"!  All went well and was actually quiet enough of a day, that I found a few moments to spend stamping!  I started out punching out some butterflies, but wasn't feeling like that was what was calling me today.  With the cold temps, I guess I felt called to Halloween.  My oldest daughter is very afraid of Spiders (and most other things that creep around) that I used her as my inspiration for this card!

Brick Wall

The new Brick Wall Folder is must have, perfect for masculine or feminine cards, and a very different look.  The bricks look great in different colors and are perfect using both sides of the folder.

Beautiful Butterflies

 It has been awhile, and summer has been non stop at my house, but I am back, and going to try and get on track again.  The new catalog started in July and the Holiday Mini Catalog will be starting on Sept 1.

The new butterfly items all coordinate so well, the folder, the thinlits, the new stamp set, and if you love butterflies these are for you.  I think my most favorite part is that they look so great in just about any color combination!  So I am sure you will be seeing more butterfly samples.

It is Star Wars day, and my daughter is a fan.  Normally she would make May Day baskets, but we just didn't have time, so she was looking for things to do yesterday, so she made some Star Wars Baskets for the neighbors.  These were all her ideas and work!

Simple Butterfly

A very simple card but very dramatic.  I spent some time cutting a bunch of butterflies out from my scrap pile and wanted to at least accomplish one card, and this was very fast.  I like the look of the dots and with two different colors is such a nice look.

Sparkling Birthday

What a time to shine.  I thought this flip card was perfect for a fun birthday card.  The black and silver really made for a nice look.  I also used the silver ink with clear embossing powder on the glasses, the accent paper was silver glimmer paper.

Birthday Star

It seems like I have been doing a few birthday cards lately, and with so many starts that coordinate this was such a quick and easy card to create.  Punch, folder, punch stamp, punch, die!  Happy Birthday!

Spring Flowers Folder

The Spring Flowers Folder makes a very flowery background.  I spent some time last week cleaning up some scraps and cutting out a pile of butterflies, they layer well, to create an extra dimension.

Happy Heart Folder

Happy Hearts folder has finally arrived and I had a few moments today to give it a try.  I am undecided on which side I like as the front, they are both very different effects.  So for now, I will use them both, and I'm sure with Valentines Day right around the corner it will get a lot of use in the next few weeks.

The "Love You" card below is a shaker card.  With the heart border punch, there seem to be little hearts all over the place, and I feel bad about just throwing them in the trash, so I was save them on a little pile until I had enough to fill the shaker.  To create the shaker, you use the window sheets to cover the whole you punched, then stick a shaker frame behind it, fill with what you want to be in the shaker and stick to surface.  

Mini Treat Bags

On of the new Thinlits Dies creates Mini Treat Bags, and is perfect for either filling with treats or using to create a pull out card.  Here are just a few quick and easy Valentine Mini Treat Bag cards that I created using the Something Borrowed DSP in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The Something Borrowed DSP has less designs than other DSP, but that is because if you were using for weddings, you might want more of the same paper.  

Beautiful Bows

I know that we are not even to the end of January, but now is the time to start working on Valentines projects.  I love the DSP that is in the SAB flyer that you can earn for FREE, you can create the resist effect by sponging or spritzing ink and the effect is so much fun!  Also the DSP Stack in the Occasions Mini Catalog is awesome for using the Bow Builder Punch to add bows of all colors.

Sheltering Tree

The New Occasions Mini has really brought us some great sets, and one  of my favorite things about the Sheltering Tree set is the versatility that it allows with using for different seasons, different genders and to create a card for all ages.  What a great set!  It is really nice during the winter to be able to stamp a spring or summer scene.
