Birthday Star

It seems like I have been doing a few birthday cards lately, and with so many starts that coordinate this was such a quick and easy card to create.  Punch, folder, punch stamp, punch, die!  Happy Birthday!

Spring Flowers Folder

The Spring Flowers Folder makes a very flowery background.  I spent some time last week cleaning up some scraps and cutting out a pile of butterflies, they layer well, to create an extra dimension.

Happy Heart Folder

Happy Hearts folder has finally arrived and I had a few moments today to give it a try.  I am undecided on which side I like as the front, they are both very different effects.  So for now, I will use them both, and I'm sure with Valentines Day right around the corner it will get a lot of use in the next few weeks.

The "Love You" card below is a shaker card.  With the heart border punch, there seem to be little hearts all over the place, and I feel bad about just throwing them in the trash, so I was save them on a little pile until I had enough to fill the shaker.  To create the shaker, you use the window sheets to cover the whole you punched, then stick a shaker frame behind it, fill with what you want to be in the shaker and stick to surface.  

Mini Treat Bags

On of the new Thinlits Dies creates Mini Treat Bags, and is perfect for either filling with treats or using to create a pull out card.  Here are just a few quick and easy Valentine Mini Treat Bag cards that I created using the Something Borrowed DSP in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The Something Borrowed DSP has less designs than other DSP, but that is because if you were using for weddings, you might want more of the same paper.  

Beautiful Bows

I know that we are not even to the end of January, but now is the time to start working on Valentines projects.  I love the DSP that is in the SAB flyer that you can earn for FREE, you can create the resist effect by sponging or spritzing ink and the effect is so much fun!  Also the DSP Stack in the Occasions Mini Catalog is awesome for using the Bow Builder Punch to add bows of all colors.

Sheltering Tree

The New Occasions Mini has really brought us some great sets, and one  of my favorite things about the Sheltering Tree set is the versatility that it allows with using for different seasons, different genders and to create a card for all ages.  What a great set!  It is really nice during the winter to be able to stamp a spring or summer scene.
