Country Livin - Truck

This is another stamp from the Country Livin Stamp Set, it looks great with watercolor.  Over the past few years, my youngest daughter Clare has fallen in love with the show American Pickers. She has developed a real enjoyment for old things and after going to the Iola Car Show last year, vehicles are on that list as well.  So this truck fits with her style, and she told me the other day that her first choice would be light blue, so I will have to do another card for her.

Colorful Seasons first attempt

The Colorful Seasons stamp set was on my wishlist when the new catalog was released, but it was also a stamp set that I wasn't convinced that I needed it until I saw more ideas.  Well I did get the set, and it was to warm to think about any of the other seasons, and I was focused on summer and relaxing.  I think I was also a little focused on Dapper Denim as my color of choice.

Country Livin Boots

I think this was my favorite card that I stamped this past weekend.  I love the watercolor pencils and the look and detail that they can create with the watercolor brush.  The Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing folder added just the pop that this card needed.

Stamping while Camping

This past weekend was our family get away weekend, we went up north with the plan to relax and unwind.  Everyone took a book to read and some games, the stamps also were brought along and I had sometime to use a few new stamps.

Marble Background Stamp

The new catalog features a few fun new Background Stamps, the one featured on this card usea the Marbeled stamp.  When using this background stamp, I inked the stamp with 2 colors and stamped it on white cardstock that already had the Celebrate Embossed using the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

This Little Piggy

Wow, when looking through the new catalog, this set was my first MUST HAVE! How cute is This Little Piggy?  A set that has some fun sayings, and the images are perfect!  I just love adding some watercolors to create the look of mud, because when are pigs actually clean?

Heartland

What a fun new set, like a drive in the coutryside!  Having a background in Agriculture and relatives still working on a farm, this a set that will be great for all kinds of cards!  This is a set with many details, but no need to be exact when a little watercoloring adds exactly what you need without a lot of coloring!

Eastern Beauty Bundle Part 1

 I have been away from my blog and stamps for a bit lately, as my other job had taken over more of my time then expected this spring/summer.  Sorry for the lag in posts, but I spent a few hours celebrating the 4th of July stamping!  I really needed the time to be creative, and I need to force myself to get there more often.

The New Catalog was out June 1, and there is so much to share.  The Eastern Beauty Bundle is not my normal style, but has so many possibilities, that I had to have it.  I will start with a few below that show how fun the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies are.  Unlike most of the dies Stampin' Up! sells, these use the reverse image, so you don't get a design that you add to a card, it creates the design in the cardstock.  It took me a few tries to see what each die would cutout, but then it was amazing!
