It is crazy to think that we are at the end of March, and April is here. Stampin' Up! has released the Orante Garden Suite as a little peak into what is coming in the New Catalog that will start in June. Below are just a few of the cards that I have created with the new products that include 2 new stamp sets and 2 different sets of dies. Which card or new product catches your eye?

Final days, Flowering Foils DSP
This weekend, I had a little stamping time, and look at these flowers pop of the paper. The Flowering Foils DSP is one of your choices as a FREE item during Sale-A-Bration, but it ends tomorrow, so please act now, so you don't miss out on this beautiful paper. I used the Blends to color the flowers and leaves to make them pop!
Clubhouse Stamp Set
It really looks like the golf season is close to being here, however, the current health issues look like this will delay the season. The Clubhouse Cling Stamp Set Bundle is going to have do for now. The dies are very nice that you can cut out golf clubs and two different size golf balls. Who else has golfers in your house, that would appreciate a card like these?

Parisian Beauty Stamp Set
I didn't think I needed the Parisian Beauty stamp set, but playing around with has been a lot of fun. You can't see all the detail of this card, so I will explain. I masked the Shimmer White Cardstock Background paper to leave the white moon in the background. The cardstock was then sponged with ink, and the tower was stamped in black ink. You cannot see, but the shimmer cardstock really looks great, even through all the color. I did also stamp the script stamp on the Blueberry Bushel Cardstock in the background on the left side.

Bookmarks....for all the bookworms at home.
Have you had a chance to read a book lately? Are your kids home and reading books? My kids are always looking for a bookmark, and these are so simple and cute to make. They are corner bookmarks that just slide on the corner of pages.
Here are the simple instructions. Start with a strip of cardstock. I use scraps, approximately 6-7" long and 2-3" wide. See what size works best for you.
Score or draw a vertical line down the center of the strip. Then fold the sides to the center line as seen below.
Then you are ready to decorate your bookmark. You will want to have something on the backside that will hold the folded down strips together, and the rest of the decorating can be as you like. Stampin' Up! has so many options with punches and dies that the sky is the limit on how to decorate. A fun project for all readers!

Sale-A-Bration Third Release
As we approach the final days of Sale-A-Bration, here are a few new items from the Main Catalog to choose as FREE items.
Double Point Card
Double Point cards seem to be a current trend in stamping, so I thought I should give it a try. I started with a base layer(see dimensions below), then layer with the white cs. Before you attach the white layer, you will take the strips of Designer Paper and fold in half horizontally, then fold to middle to create the point, these then attach to the back of the white layer. Then the Stitched Nested Label goes on top.
I have seen these cards made with or without a spot to tuck the bottom point in to hold closed. I liked it better with something securing the card closed. So many possibilities with this kind of a card.
Supplies Needed:
- Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 5 1/2″
- Second Layer: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Lily Impressions Designer Paper: (2) 3″ x 4″

Fundraiser Thank You's
I encourage my kids to send Thank You notes, and with the many fundraisers they have done over the years, I like to create some simple Thank You's for when they are delivering orders. It had been awhile since I had used the Slice of Happiness Stamp Set, but these were quick cards that are fun and fruity.

Guest Stamper ~ Mountain Air
I don't see my girls stamping very often anymore, but when they do decide to sit down, its always fun to see what they come up with. My younger daughter will not CASE(copy and share everything) a card, she is always wanting to do her own thing. Here are two creations from her latest moment of stopping and stamping! The stamp set used is Mountain Air, the sky was created using sponges and ink.

Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper
Flowering Foils DSP is one of the choices for your free item when you spend $50 by the end of this month. This paper comes in 12 x 12 sheets and is silver, and rose gold combinations on white. My favorite part about this paper is that you can change the white background to create a completely different look. You can change the background in a few different ways: with watercolors and pigment sprinkles(as seen in the first two cards below) or by using a brayer and ink pad(as seen on the third card.

Fun Fold Card
Awhile ago when I was in the post office to send
out some stamp orders, I got chatting with the lady at the counter, she said
she had a young girl come into the post office and said she need to mail
something. She looked at her, and had no idea what she needed to
do. The post office worker had to show her how to write an address on the
envelope, where to attach the stamp, and where the return address went.
This surprised me a bit, but with technology I guess it truly is becoming a
lost art.
Now is the time to bring it back. Create a card and send it. A Thank You, Birthday, Hello, Congratulations, or any other reason. How excited do you get when you receive mail? Put that smile on someones face today!
The card above is a step up from a plain card, and has a "fancy fold". To create this card, you will start out with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock. You will fold it in half, and then score. Score on the fold at 3 1/4" and down the side at 2 3/4".
Fold the score line forward and back a few times, and then push the scored corner into the card to create the fold. Then you need to determine if you will have the finished card stand horizontally or vertically. This will determine which side of the card you will finish as your front.
Then be creative, I used Designer Series Paper to decorate my background, but you could stamp as well. I then used an oval to add my words and focal point, but the sky is the limit, see what you can create!
The cards I created used the following supplies:
Special Someone Photopolymer Stamp Set Special Day Dies Stitched Shapes Dies Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper |
