New SAB items

Back to Roses

I had shared a little about using the Rose Garden Thinlit, and wanted to come back and explain they why in saving all the pieces.  You can use them like a puzzle.  In the this card, I used a combination of saved pieces to create a bit of a color twist.  On the leaves I watercolored with the watercolor brush.

This card used the rose with different cut out pieces and then watercolored the rose for color.

 These cards were all done using the outside and the cut out rose layered onto a different color.

More Botanical Blooms

I told you that you would be seeing more of this set, I have been busy cutting out tons of flowers and then having fun gluing them together to create these awesome cards.  Which one do you like best?   Another fun one to play around with color combinations!

Rose Garden

Roses come in so many colors, and it was so fun to come up with some of my own color combinations.  The Rose Garden Thinlits and Rose Wonder Stamps Set can be ordered as a bundle and it is 15% off.  Today I want to show you one of the ways to use the die, DON'T throw away any of the pieces that you cut out.  Start a little place to store all the pieces and I will show you why later.  On the flowers below I used the negative and the rose cutout, and it definitely helps you create a more dramatic look to the flower.  You can't see it that well, but I also used some Wink of Stella on the bottom 3 roses to create some sparkle. 

Pop-Up Card Front

The pop-up die is so much fun and creates a little surprise inside of cards, but the Happy Birthday also is a great element that can be snipped to use on the card from.  Also, still loving the beautiful DSP with all the swirls and designs.

Clare in the stamp room

Clare is my younger daughter, and she had a birthday party to go to, and the theme was Star Wars.  She is a huge fan, and had seen a card I had made in the past using some of my punches.  I was very impressed when she came back awhile later with this in hand.  She also pointed out that the silver streaks were added to look like light from the light saber, because she accidentally dropped the silver ink on the card and it left a mark.  Great save Clare!  Have you done this before?

Easter Rabbit
